Matthias is a twenty year professional national touring entertainer who offers private drum instruction in your home or in his fully equipped state of the art digital recording studio in Lafayette, CA. I focus on confidence, reading, syncopation, drum set theory, learning songs and improvisation in a fun and relaxing environment surrounded in an unsurpassed top pro recording studio with dvd video and computer sequencing/recording while we are head to head on two top of the line drum sets! Learn from a successful working musician that is in touch with music from all eras. I look forward to passing on a mentorship that was given to me years ago.

While attending Miramonte High School in the 80’s, his first band “CASTLE BLAK” enjoyed European hit status after being signed to EMI Records.  It was after hundreds of local shows and countless studio session jobs in Los Angeles, where he joined forces with the nation’s leading era tribute company Perfect World Entertainment which led to a multitude of live performances  with his Chicago based band “The World Famous Afrodisiacs” which played live in over 35 US states and  several television appearances on The Jenny Jones Show and MTV. A two year stint in Dallas saw live shows for/with Microsoft, The Dallas Cowboys, The Commodores and capped off with a private birthday bash for President George W Bush at his home in Crawford , TX.
